Mairi Cameron

Client relations manager

Where were you working before you joined Nucleus and what was your role?
Aegon as a Section Manager.

Why did you decide to join Nucleus?
I had heard lots of good reports on Nucleus and wanted to be part of the team.

What are you trying to achieve in your role with Nucleus?
I receive a large amount of Operational enquiries on a daily basis. My first aim is to try and respond as quickly and efficiently as possible. I also try to analyse these queries to see what we could do better to make our processing more transparent to our users.

Which historical figure do you most admire and why?
I have always greatly admired Mother Teresa. I learned about her life at an early age and have always been amazed by how selfless she was and can only imagine the number of lives she has improved .

What is your favourite journey?
My father is from the Isle of Skye and I spend at least one of my holidays a year in the family cottage. It’s a six hour journey to get there from Edinburgh however the drive is through the highlands of Scotland and the views are spectacular, especially through Glencoe.

What’s the best concert that you’ve attended?
Stone Roses, at Glasgow Barrowlands just before they split up.

What super-power would you most like to have, and why?
Fly; because I could go anywhere in the world whenever I wanted. No more wet weekends in Edinburgh!

If you were to have dinner with three people who would they be?
Billy Connolly; a bit of light entertainment for starters
Ellen McCarthy; a bit of substance for the main course
Sawyer from 'Lost'; just for dessert!!!
