Terry Huddart
Technical communications manager
Where were you working before you started Nucleus and what was your role?
I was doing proposition development with AEGON.
Why did you decide to join Nucleus?
Nucleus works in genuine partnership with advisers to develop a service that they and their clients actually want. That might sound obvious, but it’s an example of brilliant marketing practice in action. Consider that in a sector where it’s all too common for providers to pay only lip service to customer research in order to tick a TCF box, then Nucleus are truly unique.
What are you trying to achieve in your role with Nucleus?
To help our communications team keep getting better. It’s an exciting time as the days of clients paying for a wrapper selection and statement collation service are all but over, and Nucleus are going to continue to be at the heart of a big shift in the industry.
Which historical figure do you most admire and why?
George Orwell, he could see into the future.
What is your favourite journey?
Walking round Penicuik estate on a Saturday afternoon.
What’s the best concert that you’ve attended?
Glastonbury 2000, especially the parts I can remember.
What super-power would you most like to have, and why?
To have the power to be invisible - I’d play tricks on people.
If you were to have dinner with three people who would they be?
Lee Harvey Oswald and Lindon B. Johnson, they’re dead so they’d tell truth and it wouldn’t be your typical dinner party chatter. And Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, circa 1976.
